2.      Is Baywater Village suitable for families with young children?
Baywater Village is purpose-built for families travelling the Garden Route with children of all ages. The resort features a swimming pool with sun loungers, mini golf, a games room, dedicated children's play areas, and on-site watersports including canoeing, paddleboarding, and speedboat tubing (suitable for children 12 years and older). An on-site restaurant and café provides convenient family dining. During peak season and school holidays, organised children's entertainment programmes are available, making Baywater Village one of the best family resorts on the Garden Route.

 3.      What is the best time of year to visit Sedgefield on the Garden Route
The Garden Route enjoys a mild, temperate climate year-round, making it a popular destination in every season. For families, November through March (South African summer) is the best time to visit Sedgefield — warm beach days and calm lake conditions make watersports on Swartvlei Lake ideal during this period. The iconic Wild Oats Community Farmers Market runs every Saturday morning throughout the year and is not to be missed. April and May offer a quieter, more affordable alternative, with lower accommodation rates, uncrowded roads, and beautiful soft light,  perfect for photography and nature walks along the Garden Route.

 5.      Does Baywater Village offer self-catering accommodation?
Yes. Baywater Village offers fully equipped self-catering chalets, an ideal choice for families and groups who prefer the flexibility of cooking their own meals. Each chalet includes a private fully fitted kitchen, a comfortable lounge and dining area, and a private patio with views. Daily housekeeping is provided (excluding Sundays and public holidays). Guests who prefer not to self-cater can make use of the on-site restaurant and café, which serves meals throughout the day.Baywater Village self-catering accommodation is available year-round and is particularly popular for extended Garden Route family holidays.

 6.      Does Baywater Village have safe drinking water?
Baywater Village is supplied by borehole water, which is not treated for direct drinking. Guests are advised to bring their own bottled drinking water or purchase it from the on-site kiosk upon arrival.

 7.      Is Baywater Village pet friendly?
No. Unfortunately, Baywater Village does not permit pets or animals of any kind at the resort. Guests travelling with pets are advised to arrange suitable pet accommodation in the Sedgefield or George area prior to arrival. 

8.      Does Baywater Village allow Day Visitors?
Yes, Baywater Village welcomes day visitors, subject to availability. Advance booking is strongly recommended, as the resort limits daily visitor numbers to ensure a quality experience for all guests.

Day visitor rates:
- Adults: R100.00 per person
- Children (12 years and under): R50.00 per child

 Day visitors have access to the resort's facilities including the swimming pool, restaurant, and recreational areas.
